Burned about 40 acres. The construction flag worker watching traffic for a road repair in this area was standing in the middle of the road smoking. Hello!!!!!
I was up hiking and taking pictures just north of the fire near the old mining town called Gaskill that fall day. On my way back to the parking lot I saw the smoke from the trail and took a couple of photos. After getting back to my pickup and driving south toward GL I found the road closed. After helping turn more of the southbound traffic back I eventually picked up a biker from GL and we drove over Trailridge and back to GL the long way around. It made for an interesting but long day.
