DH opens the door and the UPS man has a box from (choose one of 80 or so bookstores) and then I have to explain that "it's just a little pamphlet that looked interesting".
This one just arrived and he mentioned it was a "little heavy for a pamphlet"
In my defense I should say that it was not an impulse buy. I read about the book when it was published in 2007 and you could only buy it from the private publisher. $85.00 sounded a little high, so I waited until I could get a used copy. In checking Amazon the other day I found a used copy for $200.00. Whoops. So I checked ABE and found one much, much cheaper and pushed the "go to checkout" button so fast. Now I've only got 5 things to do before bedtime but this one just got bumped to the top of the list. It's a beautiful copy and a 1st edition--Yes, Yes, Yes.
Been fascinated with Tuxedo Park for years and someday I'm goin' to visit this place.
