SOUTHERN READING CHALLENGE 2008

I'm signing up for the 2008 Reading Challenge that Maggie at
http://maggiereads.blogspot.com/ is sponsoring. 3 Southern Theme books from May 15 to Aug. 15th. I have decided to read 1. Garden Spells by Allen, 2. The Memory Keepers Daughter, I may end-up changing this one--not sure I can take that much depression right now. 3. and to Re-read one of my favorite short books called Small Change by J. Belinda Yandell. Story of a woman who's husband is very "thrifty" and makes her account for every dime she spends but puts his loose change in small dishes all over the house and won't carry it or spend it. I guarantee you'll like it.

Spare Change sounds like a good book! Thanks for joining the challenge! I'm doing the first of 5 contests for the autographed Mudbound books. Go here if you would like to play.

Judy, I have to tell you 'The Memory Keepers Daughter' is one of the worst books I've read. Not the idea of it, but the actual writing. One of the funniest I've read is Crazy in Alabama, and another great one is One Mississippi.
