SHOW AND TELL FRIDAY

Thanks to Kelli at "There Is No Place Like Home" for sponsoring "Show and Tell Friday".

Show and Tell

I decided several years ago that instead of lugging a bunch of souvenirs home from a trip I would bring one pot or planter from each trip. It's amazing to me that I got them all home without any breakage.
We did most of our traveling over the past 14 years doing Home Exchanges (using our Cabin as the exchange residence) and we had 2 daughters that worked for Delta Airlines. Thanks again daughters for a great 14 years.

The Netherlands---- Love the Blue Color

Pompeii---looks authentic don't you think for $10.00. Sure.

England

New York Botanical Gardens

Provence, France

England 2nd Trip

The Netherlands-- O.K. I cheated and bought two on this trip.

England 3rd Trip

Ya, I know, the plant is on it's last leg. I'll do something about that in the fall.

I like them all, Judy! These are wonderful remembrances of your trips.

We buy limited edition prints on our trips.

Have a wonderful weekend!

You have a very nice collection of planters. I especially like the one from Pompeii. I had never thought of purchasing planters as souveirs. Thanks so much for sharing.

Blessings,
Mary

Judy, So glad you stopped over at my blog for a visit! We do have a lot in common! And I am insanely jealous that you go to NY so often. I go about every two years, and guess what...this year is the year! LOL! Hopefully, my daughter and I will be going in June. We found a lot of out of the way places to go and eat also. We fly Spirit airlines, which is a small airline, but a straight shot with no layovers. We poll the New Yorkers returning home on the flight, for tips each time! If do go in June, I'll have to get some pointers from you! As for my ID, my dad called my scooter growing up, and my eyes are blue...so that is how I came up with the name. I like your ID...Grand Life! :)

I'll add you to my favorites roster, so I can come back and visit! Hope you will come see me again soon!

Oh, and the Tiffany buys were a one time..."first time special treat to the big apple!" Now we hit China Town for knock-offs! LOL! Although that is quite scary! LOL! I hear tell they have really cracked down on the market there.

Have a great weekend! ~Rhonda ;)

Almost forgot...love your pots! That is an interesting thing to collect on trips! Great post!

Love the planter from Provence, it would fit in very nicely with my small collection.

What a unique collection. I liked the blue one with the windmill and beautiful blue flowers.

Since I live in a small apartment, when I travel I collect bookmarks. Another reason I collect them, is I love to read.

Ooh La La! I love the Yellow one (France maybe?). Very cool idea for a souvenire collection. Much more creative than spoons!

You are MORE THAN WELCOME to post the prayer. I have told Valarie
http://valarielea.blogspot.com
that she is welcome to it, and I'm not sure where else it has landed. Would love to know if you found it there or somewhere else. It tickles me but good that folks want to take something that came out of my pea brain and put it on their site!!

And too, Prayer is a GOOD thing so who am I to keep it to myself? :)

I loved ALL THREE OF YOUR COMMENTS lol and you are most welcome to visit anytime. Just be prepared, it gets a little silly around there sometimes!

Be blessed.

What a great idea! And very useful too, better than plates that say "A present from wherever"!
Your house must be full of plants, how nice.

Judy, it looks as if the post you've scheluded for the future, are showing up on my Google Reader. I've seen your Fun Monday and Vintage Thursday post.

I enjoy seeing all your pots from your travels. Wonderful selection!

No, It's not normal. They just showed up in my Google Reader, but when I went to your site, to comment, they weren't there, and that made me think there is a problem. I'm not great with this either, and I 'schedule' a lot of my post. This is a new feature, so perhaps if you report it to blogger, they can get the bug out.

One thing I do is have my site(s) in my reader, that may alert you to a problem.

How to get Google Reader:
After you sign in to your blog, go to your Dashboard.

On the right side is a square that says "Related Services". One of them is Google Reader.

Sign in with your email and password. Then add the blogs that your regularly visit - add subscriptions.

Initially it'll load 10 per subscription, so it could seem like a lot, but just click "mark all as read" on each one. After that whenever a blog you read has a new post, it'll show up on your reader.

It's easy to add or delete subscriptions as you discover new ones, or get bored with old ones.

What a great collection of planters. I think it so appropriate to have a wilting plant in the one that says history on it! lol! Thank you for your kind words on my blog.
